Therapy from Massages
Massage therapy includes various soft tissue techniques that aim to relax the body and mind. By superficial and deep tissue manipulation, massage therapy can help to relieve muscle tension, spasm and aid the recovery of a muscle from a fatigued state by increasing the muscle blood flow. In this way, it minimises the accumulation of lactic acid, which makes the muscles tight. To continue, a massage can also help in reducing the pain after intense exercise by acting on specific blood cells that cause inflammation and hence pain. Lastly, massage therapy can help in reducing anxiety, depression, respiratory rate and blood pressure, facilitating a global relaxation.
What to expect from my first session?
When you come for your first massage session, your therapist will take a full medical history, asking questions about your general health, lifestyle and past medical history. They will do that to ensure that it is safe to proceed to the massage and get informed about any specific areas you would like them to focus on.
